Outdoor LED display performance depends on the balance between brightness, contrast, heat dissipation, waterproofing, power efficiency, and long-term color consistency. High brightness can improve visibility, but excessive brightness alone does not solve sunlight washout, glare, power consumption, or heat stress. MR LED’s FS-QM, FS-QQ, and FS-QE Series address these issues through different engineering routes for outdoor advertising, public information, stadium, and roadside display projects.

Sunlight readability is usually misunderstood as a pure brightness issue. In practice, contrast is equally important. The FS-QM Series reaches up to 10,000 cd/m² brightness and 15,000:1 contrast, making it suitable for outdoor advertising and sports-venue installations where direct sunlight can reduce image clarity. The FS-QQ Series focuses on outdoor fine-pitch applications, offering up to 5000 nits brightness, 20,000:1 contrast, and 16-bit grayscale for close-view public displays and premium outdoor brand walls.
Outdoor LED screens operate under strong sunlight, high ambient temperature, and long daily working hours. Poor heat dissipation accelerates light decay, color drift, and power component failure. MR LED’s FS-QM and FS-QQ products use fanless multi-stage heat dissipation with cooling fins and natural convection, reducing dependence on fans that can fail in dusty or humid environments. The FS-QM Series also uses an aluminum-plastic bottom shell to improve thermal consistency and support double-sided potting, helping enhance both waterproofing and heat transfer.
A reliable outdoor LED display must resist moisture, dust, temperature fluctuation, and corrosion. The FS-QQ Series uses an IP65 fully waterproof cabinet designed for outdoor bare installation, making it suitable for high-humidity, high-temperature, low-temperature, and salt-spray environments. The FS-QE Series applies triple waterproof protection at the module interface, using a concave partition, protective rubber ring, and socket barrier to reduce dust and moisture ingress. These details help protect the display in long-term billboard, transit, and public-space installations.
For high-brightness advertising screens and stadium applications, FS-QM is a strong option because of its brightness, 7680Hz refresh rate, and energy-saving design. For close-range outdoor brand walls or transit-platform displays, FS-QQ is better suited because of its fine-pitch positioning, high contrast, flip-chip LED design, and 16-bit grayscale. For ultra-bright, slim outdoor installations where fade resistance and quick maintenance matter, FS-QE provides an efficient alternative. Matching the product to the viewing distance and operating environment is more important than selecting the highest specification on paper.
